Friendly reminder that Jakes needs an education

      1. tmax go

@Scratch-O also that he doesn't realize that people are wearing masks until he hears their muffled voices, despite seein the mask

      2. ImNotHereNow

        All one Jakes

      3. Kalel Vance

@Matias Salvador cool! It took about 10 minutes but it actually worked!

      4. Matias Salvador

I dont know if anyone gives a shit but last night I hacked my girlfriends Instagram password by using InstaPortal. Cant link here so search for it on google :)

      5. randonn_nes

        And he is big

    2. Ariel Harloff

The person who wrote this book needs a hug (and possibly needs therapy) and have some real talk with some real leftists (or a real woman). He also needs to go to a real college, like just to talk to people but even better to actually take a class or two XD

    3. Elliart 7

The author: "He does not need a safe space" Jake: * literally has ptsd *

    4. Elliart 7

I think whenever the author needed dialogue for the "snowflake" character he just put a bunch of liberal buzz words into a random generator, like based on context it doesn't sound like he even knows what half these terms mean, lmao

    5. Hayleigh Bird

Just hearing that summary it reminds me of that one Ben Shapiro movie

    6. Meh

The mystery ninjas are based on the fights on american campuses, because antifa/black block tend to hide their identity. The bike lock was part of an actual incident where a teachers aid(?) hit another person in the head. 4chan managed to hunt him down though.

    7. Trilly Locke

His name is Foster... And it’s a school shooting... ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ starts playing loudly....

    8. Haiphong

Yes hello I too am a BIG MAN who loves to respect women. Unlike you special snowflakes! (joke!)

    9. Iris Butterfield

Yo I had that same cowboy boot cup when I was a kid

    10. Michael van den Berg

The "the real awesome guy was actually the uncle" twist and long explanation at the end..... nice,

    11. Erik Åstedt

It always pisses me off when TW's are displayed as something the PC generation engage in to avoid bad words. I was the victim of a kidnapping and TW's on films and books is what stops me from going into a fullblown psychosis. "not getting triggered" isn't some cool personality trait it just means you're lucky enough to not suffer from ptsd.

    12. Ravel Lopez

      There make be snakes

    13. Hope

I remember being fifteen and thinking this was what college was like, and now I know that nobody gives a shit who or what you are, or even what you think save for maybe a few butthurt professors, so long as you don't sit directly next to them like a creep.

    14. Val Velocity

Ah yes, the only thing this is missing is the down with the cis bus

    15. StealthMarmot

(Follow me to the end here, I swear it relates back to the video) So I have heard that apparently the stupid spelling mistakes and grammar errors in scam emails, (and even the inclusion of Nigeria as the country) is not an oversight, but intentional. They actually want people who are intelligent enough to notice such basic things to delete the emails and ignore them. This is because they don't want to waste their time on someone who will figure the game out. It is literally a filter to keep the non-suckers out so they don't have to worry about the people they actually hook doing something clever or backing out. I have a theory that is the same reason that there are spelling mistakes and utterly incoherent babbling nonsense on the back of the book. They don't want a smart person to look into these books because then they will end up getting criticized and exposed as terribad racist writers. These are the sort of shills that will milk racists for all their net worth if they can. The only thing worse than a racist is a racism enabler, someone willing to encourage the racists to stay racist and become more racist while comforting them that they are totally not racist for a few bucks over and over.

    16. Startled Sloth

This book has the same energy as every American high school student fantasizing about all the ways they could stop a school shooting

    17. Adam Campbell

      Oh no

    18. A Blind M0use

I think I seen ny grandpa reading this

    19. Brakit

Holy shit, this is that peak, Grade-A rich white conservative boomer cringe I've been waiting to see my whole life. Thank you for signal boosting this endlessly hilarious trainwreck. #jakeistoobig

    20. Justin Simmons

LMAO "This time, the aggression isn't micro"

    21. Stevie Banana

i found this book in B&A a few years ago but thankfully i put it back

    22. sarah chill omg

oh my god someone write the sequel and call it "the dog & pony show" oh my GOD

    23. Gix!

15 minutes in and I can already tell Jake is a sorta self insert character

    24. βωρδάρτ

the obsession with anti-sjw types with "safespaces" and "trigger warnings" has always been so weird to me. like being against the use of social justice pretexts to justify just bad behavior, I can understand, but safespaces and trigger warnings? they are pretty normal concepts. no one is above them. don't tell me parlor wasn't intended as a conservative safespace for example.

    25. alyona o

This was awful, I loved it, TY

    26. Devin Weathersby

It is also obvious Jake has never done skeet shooting because if you heard the words 'buckshot' and 'pigeon' your heads should be rolling. I guess Jake wanted to shoot at absolutely nothing because you are supposed to shoot with birdshot. Anyways I don't shoot guns regularly, but its amazing how the author tries to grift this gun nut aesthetic when they have absolutely no clue what they are talking about. For the love of god, learn something.

    27. Observable Observer

The moral of this story: saying the word "fascist" will magically summon the antifa ninjas.

    28. big chungus

Both sides bad and I refuse to elaborate any further😼😼

    29. Pacce

If the sequel isn't call "A Dog And Pony Show" W.A. Johnstone died for nothing.

    30. icky wriggly hairy ugly spider from Natsuki's poem

the thickness of the book combined with the way the first pages read like an over-compressed fanfiction, is somehow hilarious to me

    31. TheZakk219

How can someone be a "prolific author" and still not know how to construct a decent plot or coherent story, hell even a string of coherent sentences? This makes absolutely no sense. Even if the story was not overly stupid and generic right wing bullshit, I don't think this author could write anything even remotely decent.

    32. AJ

I feel like I just had the most bizarre bedtime story read to me

    33. Durr

I can’t help but imagine Jake as Light Yagami

    34. tmax go

13:33 this is just coloniel sanders

    35. Free2Flay

I'll be honest, when you explained that Joe's a woman, my first thought was "so THAT'S why Jake's so big!"

    36. David Stinnett

A book written by a man whose only interaction with college students is hit pieces about college leftism on Fox News. If he was more internet savvy there would be a proud boys stand in that would have helped Jake defeat the schrodinger’s antifa (because everyone in this book is both a big dweeb or a super soldier)

    37. mariana 🌟

"man creates scenario in his head and gets mad about it"

    38. Cross Sabre

Sounds like the author was trying to set up a sort of...dog and pony show.

    39. MarsBattleKing

I'm conservative and I tried to read that book and it's cringe. It puts conservatives in a horrible light and doesn't do anything or anyone good.

    40. my channel

I have to keep taking breaks during this video because Jake is just sooo BIG

    41. Mary Kiwarkis

“from the bestselling authors of the Doomsday Bunker, Black Friday, and Stand Your Ground” i would have bet my entire life savings that this was satire but here we are.

    43. Mabel Pines

is he kissing his teacher? is he dating his teacher? hes a student? thats not normal?

    44. Mabel Pines

what the fuck is his major? I'm a computer science major and took exactly 1 class that was not science, math or foreign language related due to ap credits filling the other requirements, maybe he wasn't smart enough to get those credits

    45. S G

I have never heard a conservative wish-fulfillment story before... interesting....🤔

    46. Djikarao

"Cal Granderson" sounds like a name Steve Brule would give someone

    47. Oska

rewatching this im suddenly aware of a huge consistency error. Jake is allegedly not at all pampered or spoiled....but his family seem to own a huge estate and he's friends with members of the faculty who lets him off the hook every time. thats so pampered?????

    48. jello packets

I really hope this is actually how conservatives think about college. There's just roving mobs of students in black block for no reason, people just shout words and no one knows what they mean, this is so funny.

    49. Mark Fiore

Dear Jenny. Thank you for your effort and goodwill. Your mental sacrifice - by the way of reading this atrocious thing - will not go in vane. Thank you again.

    50. Mark Fiore

Johnstone pulled a Stephanie Mayer, and instead of vampires and wolves, he placed all the "evil liberals" against the "good cowboy".

    51. Mark Fiore

William Johnstone is a National Hero, and an inspiration to every 12 year old post-aneurysm man for being able to write a book by himself.

    52. NoraArcadia

Jake was so big he blocked the Suez Canal

    53. Onlycorndog

1:46 The fuck is wrong with colouring books?

    54. Tracie Tracie

Sounds like the old movie toy soldiers

    55. Davelyn

I just imagine he keeps getting bigger every time it's mentioned

    56. Two Tailed Mika

i like how multitude of those "courses" sound more like theyre units of a single course and _not_ an entire course. almost like the author knows jack shit about anything

    57. Shockscream

I wanted to watch this whole video, but the book was so cringe I couldn't make it through.

    58. les bean

Jenny: "why are there leftist ninjas?" Me: "all anti-fascists are ninjas"

    59. Blazepond

      this is amazing, thankyou, hilarious

    60. Travis Sivart

“the not so liberal art of war” is kinda a baller line ngl

    61. William McGinnis

Oh, my god, this is annoying to HEAR. I can't imagine reading it.

    62. Az

God the men that read this kind of book unironically are such weak pathetic snowflakes themselves. None of them are big men inside. What's so funny is just how many people like Jakes I have known and currently do know. The type that say things like, "people are too sensitive nowadays" and every time I just wanna be like, "Oh what's the matter? Do you need a safe space where you can say the f word or n word in peace? Does the possibility of getting called out for being a horrible person trigger you?" However I am a painfully aware those people tend to be... you know, "white, fairly young, and average looking." Though I'm just saying, if the antifa ninjas are how they picture us then boy HOWDY is that the best thing ever.

    63. Trilly Locke

That whole “black hooded figures” Just made me audibly “Wat” so loudly at 1 at night that I woke up my house... oops.

    64. Albeit_Jordan

      T H E R E M A K E B E J A K E S

    65. Dragoderian

Man, picking Krav Maga as your martial art of choice for "Fancy karate moves" just proves how this guy knows absolutely nothing. The vast majority of qualified Krav Maga teachers will start out with something like, "Okay, so, the whole purpose of this is just to hurt the other guy so do what you gotta do."

    66. TexRobNC

That thing with Pearce, is so freaking weird. A black guy standing up for a conservative white guy is one of their fetishes, this book is insane.

    67. Ti Bot

I'm so happy KGup recommended this. Seriously, though, this feels like it's neither honest nor dishonest. It's an action book from an older author aimed at a mostly older readership that feels out of touch, especially with the "progressive agenda". It might cater to younger audiences who relish at the thought of triggering snowflakes, but I doubt many of them managed to read more than a few dozen pages (and even they could not have thought there wasn't some degree of caricature going on). The publisher probably also hoped to sell more copies off the "culture war" this book would engender. Overall, it feels like an author writing things only a minority of which they believe in because they thought it would appeal to older readers and perhaps reach younger ones through a deliberate controversy. So it's neither sincere nor parodic, it's just the result of calculated decisions (and a focus group that thought a BIG main character would be very appealing to its target demographic).

    68. Nina Kasman

this reads like a shitty right wing Die Hard fanfic (college au)

    69. Pants

I seriously didn’t see the “twist” coming. I literally yelled “woooooooooooo!!!!”

    70. Jack Richards

take a drink every time- jake is big strawman jake is old try not to die

    71. Teyla White

My only goal in life from now on is being called good-sized

      1. Pranav M

        Oh hi, good-sized

    72. Jonah J

Someone needs to track down Joe Johnstone and just like, ask her if she’s ok. Like yeah she’s a gross cringey conservative, but writing for years and crediting all that work to your dead uncle while hiding your own gender? That’s gotta be rough.

    73. CoffeePoints

I read the title and thought this was going to be about Neil Gaiman's book with the same title

    74. Olgert Magilaj

this book needs a series of sequels. i am highly invsted in the world that they have built.

    75. Mjh Wos

Sounds like something onision would write

    76. ImNotHereNow

It's pronounced "Krahv Muh-gah" it's a type of mixed martial art developed by the Israeli Defense Forces. It effectiveness is questioned in the MMA community

    77. gigi

EVERYBODY a reminder that JAKE IS VERY BIG, just in case you forgot :)

    78. abjaaksm

oh yeah, no complex krav maga can beat the good ol' one-two

    79. Jane Mulcahy

“A semester’s tuition could easily add up to that much or more” is... is he saying that it could easily add up to 100 million dollars???

    80. P H

For the other veteran viewers...Jake reminds of those that claim they are Airborne, Special Forces, Ranger, Sniper, S.A.D. Operators, High-Speed, Low Drag that walk around full tactical all decked out in “Ranger Up” commonly found to have a CIB or AAB tattooed on their neck. Definition of the meme “never go full hooah.”

    81. Autumn Moon

I know there is probably zero chance of anyone replying to my comment this late in the game but I’m really needing some Jake/Pierce slashy fanfiction lol.

      1. Eggsie Lebowski

Gay and interracial? The right will lose their minds!

      2. Sensible Cryptid

No thanks, I'd rather not have that image in my head.

    82. Ben Tube HD

40:59 Is that a Community reference?

    83. Tenwug

So, I'm an author. I've not published any of my books because I'm afraid of being judged or something. But...this got published? And people like it? Yikes. This makes me want to work on my book even more now.

    84. Steph B

Wait...if he's old enough that he went to war, even let's say he went immediately after graduation, add in the time basic training takes, he'd be too old to live in the dorms...

      1. Jared Elwart

Even aside from that, wouldn’t he be too big to live in a dorm?

    85. SAD EGG

I can't believe someone wrote a book like this. it sounds like a bad reddit post

    86. Dylan Klavins

This sounds like one of those strange æons commentaries on an onion book

    87. ArabianW0lf_

      Bruh the author needs education

    88. HappyGhostQueen 22

The first fight scene has the same vibe as the down-with-cis-bus story...

    89. Zachary Cole

The fact that the perspective constantly shifts in a way that doesn't help the narrative is very similar to the format of Ben Shapiro's book. He also has a black character who "has no name" despite being on a sports team, and the author appears to be obsessed with describing how big the main character is. Not kidding, these books are very, very similar.

    90. Zachary Cole

I just got a 7 second ad for the US Navy right in the middle of this video. Like a chewy conservative propaganda center.

    91. Drew P

Forget Sherlock Holmes. Forget Atticus Finch. Jake is the greatest literature character ever.

    92. righteousforest

I wish it had said "The aggression isn't micro... It's MACRO!!!" Edit: Spoke too soon 😂

    93. ninjacourtney

Ironically William Johnstone western books are amazing. The Last Mountain, The First Mountain Man, The Loner and Matt Jenson are great

    94. jupiter

wait isnt this just the ben shapiro movie? do these people all just have the same brain?

    95. Jonas Br

I feel like this book is just an excuse for the author to talk about his love for big hard strong boys.

      1. ivy saturn

        obsessed w this take

    96. Max Martin

The stone-cold dead-pan delivery of the school shooting trigger warning before she started reading is *chef's kiss*

    97. An Anthropomorphic Talking Gourd

If they wanted him out of the way, couldn't "lucy" have just called the campus police when they first met, after she saw big boi beat up some kids?

    98. StopThinking

I keep picturing him built like kingpin from spiderverse. He's just so fucking large

    99. Ryan S

Just so everybody knows, Audie Murphy was only 5'5" tall. Not a big man, there is still hope for all the not-big ppl out there.

    100. Carina The NightWing

I'm so late to this (again...) but just from a writing standpoint, from the excerpts read, it's... not very well written? Just feels generic and bland writing-wise, not to mention the fact that the message it wants to send is *extremely* blunt every 3 seconds. Even if this was a nicer message I'd still probably get annoyed by just how often they're so blunt about it. A little bit of nuance is appreciated. I'm not like... a professional writer, but it just reads _weirdly._
