First impressions last a lifetime. Wolfgang Van Halen has prepared a lifetime to make his first impression with his solo band Mammoth WVH. The songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist worked tirelessly on material that would become his debut album. Playing every instrument and singing each and every note, his music presents a personal and powerful perspective, balancing memorable hooks and tight technicality. As many times as audiences have experienced his talent alongside the likes of Tremonti, Clint Lowery, and of course, Van Halen, Wolfgang prepares to step into the spotlight with his own brand - Mammoth WVH - for the very first time now.

Loved the video! Wolfgang, you have shown how talented you are and what a loving relationship you had with your amazing father Eddie Van Halen. I'll always remember Van Halen as a local Pasadena , San Gabriel Valley band where I grew up. ❤️

Wolf, I don't know if you check this channel but, if you do let me first and foremost extend my heartfelt condolences! Your dad influenced so many people including myself! This is a beautiful tribute! I have been a fan of the music for close to 40 years and your uncle Alex as well as your dad made me push to be the very best that I could be! Thank you for this beautiful song! I really mean it! Thank you!

Hey Wolf. I remember the first time hearing 316 during Live Without a Net. But it didn't have a name then. It was part of your Dad's solo. It was beautiful. Years later, It was featured as an instrumental on For Unlawful Cardinal Knowledge. I remember reading an article where your Dad said that when your mother was in discomfort because of her pregnancy with you, he would lay a guitar on her stomach and play that guitar part and it soothed you. So, when you were born, the instrumental was officially named 316, after your birthday. That's pretty damn awesome. We all miss your Father. But I'm sure no one misses him more than you. God bless.

What a beautiful tribute. This song hits differently for me. Twelve years ago today, I had a sonogram and found out that my baby had died. I was almost 6 months pregnant. It would take me two days to deliver my son. I treasured every lasting minute I got to keep him in my belly because I knew I wouldn't be taking him home. I can feel the pain and love in your song. My heart goes out to you. 💙

I was reading about the auction of EVH guitar. 400+ thousand. Sounded good until I read what Curt Kobaban's went for... I wanted to scream. Koban was a newborn baby compared to the skill, dedication, gifts, and talent of Eddie. In time I'm sure Eddie's Frankenstrats will bring much more. But I am disappointed in our society as a whole and their respect for genius. I'll have to admit one of my own biases in regards to Wolfgang. I listened religiously to VH through the Roth and Hagar years. Time went by and Your Father put you in on base. Wasn't following much then. And I thought, oh yeah, the successful musician is trying to give it to his own Son. And he'll never be Eddie. I was totally ignorant and uneducated on what you WVH had to offer in your own respect. I heard this. Brought me to tears. Incredible. You nailed it musically. With your own style. You transcended your emotions of your loss through music to our soles and shared your pain with us. Why should I have expected anything less from a generational family of prodigies? WVH, you have your own signature sound that stands on it's own two legs. Worthy own it's own. And not just cause I am jerking tears because of what the world just lost. But, I heard "Your To Blame". And wow! It Rocks! Keep bringing it. The world needs you. I grew up on Eddie's style. But, Wolf, the world is ready for what you have to offer to music. And we need your sound and talent. It's no replacement of anyone. You have your own thing going and it's special. Keep bringing it. I want to hear you for years to come. Very little writing and talent these days. Just techno tronich b.s. I am so sorry I ever doubted your special gifts to bring to the world... SO BRING US MORE WOL! We're hungry, like a Wolf!

The best songs that I know of come out of two places: our great successes and our deepest sorrows. Distance has both and I agree with Nina Blackwood, this is my favorite song of 2020.

Such a beautiful tribute to his dad. Something that helped to comfort me when my mom and brother died: “A soul leaves a body as suddenly as a school boy jumps through a door! With joy!!! There is no horror in death. The threads of love continue. You need only open your heart and mind to hear me.” My love and prayers Wolfgang.

He inspired me to take up the guitar! Been playing 40+ yrs,and still fall asleep with a guitar in my lap! Lost my dad to suicide in 97, man ,wish I could hear his voice just one more time! Now I'm a father of a wonderful smart, musically talented 22 yr old son who is my reason for breathing! We miss u Ed!! Rock the Heavens in Peace Sir! 😢🎸🎼
